Foam Extinguishers can be used to provide protection against both Class A and Class B fires. They are suitable for locations that are at risk of material fires, as well as flammable liquid fires.
Dry-Powder-Fire-Extinguishers-

Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers

Class A, B & C fires
Dry powder fire extinguishers are ideal for multi-risk environments because they can be used to tackle Class A, B and C fires. However they are not recommended for use in enclosed spaces.

Fire Extinguisher FAQ's

How often should fire extinguishers be serviced?
British Standards stipulates that a fire extinguisher should be serviced once each year by a qualified professional.  We would also recommend that a visual inspection is carried out monthly by a member of your team, where the location, condition, tamper seals and pressure gauges for every extinguisher are checked and documented.
How do I know if my extinguisher is still in working order?
UK fire extinguisher regulations recommend that extinguishers should be replaced or given an extended service/overhaul every 5 years. CO2 extinguishers should be replaced every 10 years, unless they are damaged or have been discharged. No extinguisher must ever be more than 20 years old.
What type of extinguisher do I need?
There are 5 main types of fire extinguishers available, and each has a different use. The equipment and materials in your business’ premises will determine which type(s) of fire extinguisher you need. For more information on fire extinguisher types click here. Or contact our team for free help and advice.
What area do you cover?
We are based in Selby just outside of York and we cover as far north as Newcastle and as far south as Lincoln. If you live outside of this area we still may be able to help. Contact our team with your requirements for more information.
How many fire extinguishers does my business need?
The number of fire extinguishers you will need all depends on your business premises. To establish this, your site should be surveyed by a qualified fire extinguisher engineer or fire risk assessor. The minimum requirements for the type and size of extinguishers you need can be found within the BS 5306 standards.
Do you comply with British Standards Institution BS 5306?
Yes, our experienced fire extinguisher servicing engineers have been expertly trained and our servicing is carried out with 100% compliance with British Standards Institution BS 5306.
